Home Buyer Assistance
City of Nash, Tx
    "The city of Nash, in partnership with the Texas Dept. of Housing and Community Affairs, offers a program to help homebuyers with their downpayment and closing costs.  This program helps families who might not be able to qualify to purchase a home.
    If you are a first time homebuyer, displaced homemaker, or single parent currently considering buying a home, the program may be for you.  If eligible, you can receive up to $9,100 in downpayment and closing cost assistance.  
    Qualified applicants receive a five-year deferred, forgivable loan in the form of a second or third lien at 0% interest.  The loan is repayable on a prorated basis upon sale of the home, refinance, or payoff of the first lien note, whichever comes first.
    To qualify for the HOME Program, your gross income must be at or below 80% of the family median income for Bowie County.  See the chart below to see if you income is within range.  You must also be able to secure financing for your home.  Once qualified, you must also receive homebuyer counseling.
